Voting Mechanics
Voting enables the community to decide which characters/archetypes/worlds they resonate with most, helping shape the collection. Here’s a clear process:
1. Pre-Voting Phase: Character Preview
- Concept Reveal: Share sketches or detailed previews of the characters from different worlds (e.g., The Stormforge Guardian, The Wildwood Spirit).
- Showcase Worlds: Provide short descriptions, lore, and symbolism tied to each character.
(WE’RE CURRENTLY HERE)
- Voting Eligibility:
- Limit voting to wallet holders ($ARROW holders, maybe a certain amount of $ARROW). or
- Open voting to the public for broader engagement but weigh votes differently (community members > general public).
2. Voting Process
Choose one of these systems:
Option A: Snapshot Voting
- Use Snapshot.box, a popular gasless voting platform for Web3 projects. (still trying to understand how to use it)
- or we could use a ponder frame since we’re still in our early phases
{i also need to learn how to become a dev and build stuff}
- Assign weighted votes based on:
- Holding existing tokens or NFTs (fabric/hypersub).
- Time held or staked (loyalty).
- Example Process:
- Users connect their wallet.
- Select their favorite characters or worlds via a user-friendly interface.
- Results are transparent and immutable.
Option B: On-Chain Voting
- Users vote directly on the blockchain using minimal gas fees.
- Votes can be cast through a custom dApp interface.
- Token Weighting: If the project has a token, allow token-based voting where 1 token = 1 vote.
Option C: Quadratic Voting (Balances whales and smaller voters)
- for this we could use jokerace.io (but the cost might be a problem, unless incentives could be provided to voters)
